How to boost bass online for free
Want more kick, warmth, or low-end punch? Use the Bass Booster to lift the bass in a song right in your browser, preview the result, and download MP3 or WAV โ with nothing uploaded.
Boost bass in 3 steps
- Open the Bass Booster and drop your track in. Choose an MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC โ it loads locally in your browser and is never uploaded.
- Raise the Bass slider. Start around +4 to +6 dB, then preview. The boost targets the low end below about 120 Hz, where kick drums and bass lines usually live.
- Keep clipping protection on and download. Prevent clipping is on by default, so the boosted bass is limited under 0 dB before you save as MP3 or WAV.
Bass boost vs. volume boost: bass boosting changes the low frequencies only. If the whole file is too quiet, use the Volume Booster. If you want detailed control over lows, mids and highs, use the Equalizer.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes โ completely free, with no sign-up, no watermarks, and no limit on how many files you boost.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Bass boosting happens locally in your browser, so your audio never leaves your device.
How much bass should I add?
Start around +4 to +6 dB for a natural lift, then preview. Bigger boosts can sound powerful, but may also make a track muddy if the original already has a lot of low end.
Will bass boosting distort my audio?
Not with Prevent clipping on: the limiter holds the boosted peaks under 0 dB. Turn it off only if you want raw maximum bass and accept possible clipping.
